PM2 panel is an environmental sustainable base product. Its main component is a by-product of petroleum which is stable and non-toxic.

It is ozone-friendly because it does not emit CFCs or HCFCs, which are harmful to our environment, during the manufacturing process. Most importantly, this product is 100% recyclable. The beauty of this PM2 Panel is that it is 100% recyclable thus creating ZERO waste.

Knowing that rectification work is unavoidable in the construction business, we now need not worry about the disposal of construction waste, which is not easily recycled. The broken pieces of this panel can be collected and sent to our factory to be recycled into brand new pieces.

During the manufacturing process, the production is designed to optimise every cut to minimise waste. The scrap can be recycled immediately to create new panels.

PM2 Recycling Scheme – A CSR initiative to collect wastages from site by placement of recycling bin. Wastages collected from site will be recycled at the factory.

The EPS used for PM2 panels is self-extinguishing, i.e. once the ignition source (the flame) has been removed, flame on the panels will extinguish by itself and will not stimulate further burning.

The system has a fire resistant of 130 minutes for integrity and 113 minutes for insulation as certified by the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia.

Panels do not cause allergies and is not harmful to the health of those who produce or install it.

The manufacturing of PM2 panel does not release toxic or harmful substances and is completely inert. It contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). Besides, being free of organic material, it inhibits the growth of microorganisms and mold. The mechanical and thermal properties are guaranteed throughout the life of the building. It does not suffer damage if exposed to steam or humidity.

PM2 system can achieve a sound insulation up to STC 46 (ie. Loud speech not audible; 90% of statistical population not annoyed according to STC Rating) compared to the traditional brick with STC between 38dB – 42dB depending on thickness. According to the sound test conducted at UNI of Santiago, Chile, it has a sound proofing index of 45dB.

This feature will greatly reduce noise pollution especially when the building is located in an industrial area or on a street with high-traffic.

In a comparative carbon footprint analysis commissioned by M2 EMMEDUE, the findings showed that the PM2 building system produce 60% less CO2 compared to traditional ones which are made of reinforced concrete and masonry facing.

Thanks to its polystyrene core, PM2 panels have excellent heat insulators to keep a building cool. This can result in up to 80% energy savings due to lower electricity consumption from reducing air-conditioning usage. All this is well within our motto of “Energy Not Used Is Energy Saved”.

By using PM2 panels, it also reduces the consumption of cement, steel and wood in the construction process. Due to its light weight, it eases logistic arrangement for storage and transportation. Being easy to install, it requires less labour-hours to construct.
